Been awake a couple of hours, that hasn’t happened in quite some time. My summer has slipped by and it was a fantastic one. It was so busy, squeezed in a few adventures. Didn’t get my hands into the dirt, but my toes made it into the ocean a few times. This has been a summer of appreciation, I look forward to rest. Looking forward to sweaters and boots, if I find them. Can’t wait to cook some apple crisp and roasted pumpkin soup!
I actually woke up laughing out loud. In my dream I was watching a home movie. I have the movie somewhere. Anyways it was one of the first home movies we made. The kids were introducing themselves and talking about all the things going on in their lives. There were lots of close ups because the camera was new to us and it is quite cute. In one part, my oldest announces she will show the camera her hamster that was in its cage. In my dream it slowed down this part, my other kids are doing silly antics and my daughter turns around with the hamster wearing overly large work gloves. I had forgotten she used to do that, here she is wearing huge gloves to show her tiny hamster that she loved, but was equally terrified of!
We should all be like that, approach life with gloves. Don’t give up on things you love out of fear, just wear gloves. A layer of security until you build up some trust. Until you feel secure, buy some time. I think my empathy brain is on overdrive. Treat yourselves tenderly folks. Treat others tenderly too, maybe get some gloves!
